American Plan:
Transportations within the country (The vehicle used will be Land Cruisers, Prado, Toyota Hiace Bus or Toyota Coaster Bus depending on the group size with A/C), accommodation in twin sharing basis in "A" class hotels and resorts, breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning & evening tea with snacks, sight seeing, guide services, & monument entrance fee.

Modified American Plan:
Transportations within the country (The vehicle used will be Tucson, Santa Fee, Toyota Hiace Bus, Toyota Coaster Bus depending on the group size ), accommodation in twin sharing basis in "B" class hotels and resorts, morning & evening tea with snacks, breakfast, dinner, guide services, sight seeing, & monuments entrance fee.

European Plan: 
Transportations within the country (The vehicle used will be Toyota Cars, Hiace Bus, Toyota Coaster Bus depending on the group size), accommodation in twin sharing basis in "C" class hotels and resorts, sight seeing & monument entrance fee.

Two bottles of Mineral water per person per day is provided as complimentary.

THE TARIFF EXCLUDES
Air fare, Airport tax, Any bar bills, Laundry bills, Telephone bills, Travel Insurance, Emergency evacution, & other bills of personal nature.

THE BEST SEASON FOR INDIAN CLIENTS

January, June and Sept - December. In winter you can enjoy the beautiful snow capped mountains and great velleys.

TREKKING IN BHUTAN
March, April, May, June, & Sept, Oct,and Nov would be the best season on the high mountains.

ENTRY PERMIT (Route permit)
Indian Nationals traveling from India to Bhutan does not need Bhutan Visa. Passport or an election commission I. D card is, however required for presentation at the immigration during entry, to obtain an entry permit along with 02 passport size photographs. An Affidavit from Supreme Court is needed for those who don’t have any of the above documents.

Indian Nationals traveling from Bhutan to Nepal or Nepal to Bhutan require valid passport as per Nepalese immigration regulation.

SPECIAL PERMIT
Special permit is required for those who wish to travel to restricted areas beyond Dochula pass from special commission, Ministry of Home Affairs. The Special Permit is processed & issued in Thimphu, only after arrival in Bhutan and on production of the Entry Permit or Route permits. Two copies of passport size photos required while processing Route Permit. Also this permit can be processed only during working days (Mon-Fri) and applications are accepted from 9-11 a. m and Special permit will be given on same day from 3 -5 p. m in summer and 3 -.4 p. m in winter.
Immigration office are closed on Saturday, Sunday & Govt. holidays.

FOOD (VEG & NON VEG)
Bhutanese delicacies are rich with spicy chillies and cheese but are normally tempered to the taste of the visitors. All our hotels and lodges offer delicious Indian, Chinese, Continental and Bhutanese cuisine. Hotels normally serve a mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items on buffet style however pure vegetarian meals also served on request and prior information.

MONEY
The Bhutanese currency is called Ngultrum (Nu.) and it is equal to Indian Rupee. Credit cards (Amex and Visa cards) are accepted by only few limited establishments. Indian Rupee is acceptable all over Bhutan however please do not carry Rs. 1,000/ and Rs. 500/ denomination currency notes.

LANGUAGE
The official language of Bhutan is Dzongkha. English has been the language of educational instruction since 1964 and is widely spoken. And Hindi also remains very common among the business community around the country.
 
SECURITY
Bhutan is very safe destination with lowest crime rate in the world. In general you will find Bhutanese are very warm, hospitable, helpful, fun loving and friendly.

TELEPHONES & MOBILES
Telecommunication system in Bhutan is well developed and efficient. In every tourist destinations, you will find telephone facilities in hotels or PCO (Telephone Booth). If you wish to bring your own mobile phone please contact your manufacturer/supplier directly to obtain up-to-date information.

PHOTOGRAPHY

You can photograph almost everywhere in Bhutan. The people are highly photogenic and everyone seems to wear a smile. However, very often the Bhutanese are camera shy so use your discretion at all times and when in doubt ask verbally or by gesture.
No photograph inside Dzongs, monasteries and temples, please check with your guide.

SHOPPING

Shops are normally open between 0900-2000 throughout the week. Markets are held regularly and are a rich source of local clothing and jewelry.

CUSTOMS
The Bhutanese authorities strictly monitor export of any religious antiquities of any kind from the kingdom. Personal electronic devices and reasonable amount of cigarettes and alcohol are permitted into the kingdom.

The following goods may be imported into Bhutan:
200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco

NO SMOKING IN BHUTAN

The kingdom of Bhutan has declared as “SMOKE FREE NATION” in 2004. Please don’t smoke in public places.

TIME
Bhutan is half an hour ahead of IST (Indian Standard Time).

ELECTRICITY
The voltage supply in the Bhutan is 220 volts AC, 50 Hz. Standard Indian round pin sockets are normally used at all places.

GRATITIES
Tipping for your guide, drivers, assistants, trek cooks is not included in our tour prices and its at your discretion.

LIABILITY
Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) will not be liable to any kind of lost, injury, and damage of your belonging and life.

CANCELLATION CHARGES

Trips booked and consequently cancelled are subject to cancellation charges as follows:

  • Tour booked and cancelled within 1 month of prior notice: 80% refund of total tour cost.
  •  Less then 1 month or with out notice: No refund
