We landed in Paro International Airport (Bhutan) and were greeted by Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) representative. Since my cellphone was not active in Bhutan, they were ready to lend me a phone chip… they are really well prepared. With all flexible arrangements, we could visit places of our interest, not only those listed on itinerary given. Our guide and the driver were really informative and helpful. The information given makes a better understanding of Bhutanese cultures and way of life. On October 5, we proudly wore our Kira (Bhutanese National Dress) to attend Thimphu Festival. All meals, transport and hotel reservations were well arranged. Although Mr. Karma Samten (Managing Director) was out of the country, he personally kept in touch with our guide, which shows he is really concern and care his clients. I think one day we will get back to Bhutan with another program to see "BEAUTIFUL BHUTAN". Thanks to Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) for making our trip a memorable and unforgetable one - cheers!!!

My experience in Bhutan with Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) is nothing short or exhilarating!
Karma Samten was most helpful and his good command of the English language certainly a great boost in tours in exotic countries where English may not be very common. (Even in tourist destinations like Thailand, street-level of English is still relatively uncommon, let alone finding a tour guide who speaks very good English in exotic Bhutan). His local knowledge is pretty strong, like knowing the altitude of Thimphu, the time needed to travel from one town to another, the local culture, is most helpful in appreciating the Kingdom. I think the most impressive part of my
interaction with him is his keen sense of responsibility and his sense of punctuality which I must confess, I had earlier discounted, having experienced the lack of it in some of my other tours.
Would certainly recommend our friends and others who are contemplating visiting Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim, and Darjeeling to use Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours).

We would like to thank Karma Samten again for a wonderful and unforgettable vacation in Bhutan. I have been dreaming about a vacation in Bhutan for more than ten years. The circumstances were never right to do it until now. Ever since I first contacted Karma for information on Bhutan and how he can help us plan our trip, I was hooked. He gave us the information we needed to plan the trip and was very accommodating when we wanted to change our plans. What I liked the most was Karma’s flexibility in meeting our schedule and itinerary requests. We were able to build a truly personal experience in Bhutan.
The service was superb from the moment our guide and driver met us at the Paro International Airport. Both were very knowledgeable and ready to help us in any way. They were very polite and willing to stop for us at every corner we wanted to take pictures. For the entire trip we had water in the car provided for us at no additional cost (something other companies do not do). Our trip included a three days trek. The cook and the crew were amazing. We had a cook who made better meals on the trial than some of the restaurants we visited. At any time we felt safe with them around us.
Thank you Karma again for an exceptional experience. We shall recommend your's Tours and Trekking company to all our friends and we shall definitely use Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) again when we visit Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Bengal Duars.

My trip to Bhutan was truly magical! Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) treated us as if we were the King of Bhutan. Karma was an excellent guide who showed us the magic of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The food, the people, the culture, and the amazing landscape all worked together to make our time in The Kingdom of Bhutan one of the best vacations ever.
We noticed that others on vacations were not receiving the excellent service that we were. While other travel companies were trying to save as much money as possible for profit Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) spared no expense. I asked Karma why you put us in the nicest hotel instead of the other mid/low range hotel like the other companies do. His response was that he wanted us to share the difference with our friends. He truly understood the concept of customer service like no other. Bhutan is a country not to be missed.

"Enjoying a real vacation in the pandemonium of South Asia is normally out
of the question, and traveling to Bhutan, an oft-forgotten corner of this
region, is an expensive endeavor, especially when one goes for a good block
of time. Thus, I set off for the Land of the Thunder Dragon with my
expectations set low. My experience with Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers, however,
proved to be a pleasant surprise in a part of the world where one becomes
accustomed to disappointment. Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) staff was friendly,
knowledgeable, and courteous, and they treated me like a friend instead of a
naïve tourist. They set the itinerary according to my wishes, and the
entire time, I felt a measure of freedom and independence that one normally
doesn't sense on a pre-arranged tour. As for Bhutan, I felt like I had
stepped back several centuries to enjoy pristine wilderness, quaint
villages, and a society untarnished by the chaos of its South Asian
neighbors. Moreover, the hotels were classy; the food was uniquely tasty,
and the transportation was top-notch. When all was said and done, I really
felt like I had experienced a vacation. And, the cost of this trip was the
last thing on my mind. As I reflect on all the horror stories I have heard
from friends and colleagues who traveled to Bhutan with various other travel
agencies, a satisfying smile comes to my face. With Bhutan Bigfoot
Trekkers (Tours), I found a jewel in the Land of the Thunder Dragon. In the future,
when I want to explore more of this exotic Himalayan Kingdom, choosing a
trekking agency will be an easy task. I won't have to waste time
investigating other options, and I can set high expectations.
Thank you Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours)!

“I
wish our trip could have been longer, and am determined
to return”
We visited Bhutan in April with Jen Chambers,
a postgraduate student, to supervise her fieldwork.
Although we worked quite hard, the trip felt more
like a holiday - partly due to the wonderful scenery,
wildlife and culture, but also in no small part
because of the Bhutanese guides who travelled with
us. They all conspired to make sure we were comfortable
on the long drives to the east, and in a variety
of camp sites, so that we could work long days and
know we would be pampered in the evenings.
Our driver drove our vehicle throughout the trip
with care and courtesy, and adapted effortlessly
to the strange, stop-start nature of roadside geological
fieldwork. I was particularly impressed with his
driving through thick mist down from Thrumshingla
to Ura one evening! His quietly-spoken manner and
easy-going sense of humour made our time in Bhutan
all the more enjoyable. His knowledge and love of
his country is evident, and he went out of his way
many times to accommodate our wishes.
As a result, I came away from Bhutan with some fabulous
memories of landscapes, especially the rich forests,
and wildlife (including Pine Martens, deer and a
host of beautiful birds). I wish our trip could
have been longer, and am determined to return. I
would have no hesitation in recommending Bhutan
Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours), and Karma as a guide.

"I
fondly remember the misty mountains, the friendly
people and the great food."
My month-long visit to Bhutan was a very special
trip. I was out there as a geology student, collecting
rocks samples for analysis in the UK, but it was
also an opportunity for me to sample the culture
of this beautiful Himalayan Kingdom. I fondly remember
the misty mountains, the friendly people and the
great food (although I never did manage to eat the
chilies!). Our guides were so helpful, not only
in providing us with interesting local knowledge,
but also in allowing us to modify our itinerary
which was vital for the success of the geological
expedition. The hotels were always comfortable,
but as I do love the outdoors I particularly enjoyed
camping (and the local herbal brandy to keep us
warm when the sun had gone down).
Thank you, Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours)

"I
Rarely Have Encountered Such Professionalism"
Like a guide, like a country!
We traveled to Bhutan in September and Karma
Samten was our guide. As we drove across the
country, Karma, who speaks very good English,
was always cheerful and informative. Even on long
journeys, Karma was superb, telling us about the
country and the Bhutanese way of life in vivid
detail. He truly enhanced our trip by bringing
this complex culture to life through stories and
anecdotes. He would go out of his way to make
sure we were comfortable and informed, and was
always punctual and polite. It is also clear he
is an accomplished trekker in harsh terrains.
I have traveled extensively to some far flung
parts of the world but rarely have encountered
such professionalism. I have no hesitation in
recommending Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours) and Karma as our guide. Mr. Robert Nisbet-Smith TV Correspondent,

"I just
wish I could have doubled the length of my stay
in-Bhutan"
My visit to Bhutan this summer was my first, but
I hope it will not be the last. Rarely have I encountered
such dramatic and beautiful scenery, with tree covered
valleys and snow covered peaks overwhelming your
sense of perspective. It is also unlike many of
its neighbours, un-spoilt by mass tourism. The government
has also fought hard to protect the country's cultural
heritage which can be witnessed not just in the
traditional dress and buildings, but also in the
spirit of its people. It's a very rare and special
experience. I just wish I could have doubled the
length of my stay. I also can't recommend Karma
Samten and his Travel and Trekking company highly enough.

"We
felt as ease with him immediately"
Karma Samten provided travel guide services during
our recent visit to Bhutan. We felt as ease with
him immediately! He tailored each day's activities
to meet our interests and ensured that we experienced
everything that Bhutan has to offer. His command
of the English language enabled him to effectively
communicate his extensive knowledge of Bhutanese
customs, flora, fauna, religion and history. We
highly recommend Bhutan Bigfoot Trekkers (Tours)!
